Good morning,
Today is monday the 22nd of January 2018. The time is 04:29:50 and it's week number 04.

(2009-02-11) ISP causes break between 15:00-20:30 CET

Ok, it's the same thing as last time:

- Connection between us and ISP: Fine
- Servers and router: Fine
- ISP internal net: Down
- Area down: Hägersten, southern Stockholm.

Pingdom reports:
- Check Mail ( is UP again at 2009-02-11 20:26:52, after 5h 30m of downtime.
- Check Mail ( is down since 2009-02-11 14:56:52.

Resolution is +/- 3 minutes

The good news:
We've only had two serious outages in 2009 and they're not been too long (4-5h each), so most of you have probably not been too disturbed by them. Those of you who didn't use your mail on the late afternoon those two days have not been affected. No mail or data have disappeared. Take a deep breath! :)

We've been able to minimize out downtime during maintenance and upgrades to a minimum. A few minutes per month on off hours at most.

To this date the wast majority of our downtime since measurement started has been caused by Bredbandsbolaget. This year alone, Bredbandsbolagets shaky hands have used up half of our allowed downtime quota for 2009. Reaching an uptime of 99.8% now will be an interesting undertaking.

I'll discuss this with them, and if I'm not satisfied with their explanation, I'm going to get a better WAN-connection from a better ISP.
